I was 2/3 on DD and got FJ. I doubted myself for a moment, but, looked it up, and I was correct (I wasn’t sure if he said “I” or “We”. I said “I”).
I thought the middle kid was going to make a run of it. He reminded me of Neilish, in that they could be cousins. Fortunately, he didn’t have the same abrubtness. But, again, Harrison is getting me close to motion sickness.
I certainly know the famous quote, but didn’t associate it with Australia. That threw me off. Got the first DD. Challengers were OK but it’s hard to escape from a steamroller when he gets it into gear. Knew the designer of the heart, was stunned no one knew Cyrano’s true love, knew where Mountaineer football is played. That words category turned out to be much harder than it looked.
I didn’t think the word category was that hard. I only missed the $200 clue.
But I play word games a lot. I recently discovered French Wordle — Le Mot. It’s tres cool š. I use one of the words that was in today’s word category as a starter sometimes — the one about rooms.
Thanks for introducing me to Le Mot, VJ, it really is tres cool.
I’m glad you like it, Rhonda. One big difference from NYT Wordle is words can end in S.
Also, the answer is shown if you can’t figure it out and they’ll define it too. I learned how to say ‘valve’, for example, even though I’ll probably never have occasion to say it. I doubt if I’ve even said it 10 times in my whole life in English.š¤£
Thanks for telling me, VJ, I tried to see if there was such an option but wasn’t able to, I’ll have to give it another try.
Wow, it was still another runaway for Harrison, and he remained the Jeopardy champion. As for me, I performed well above average in today’s game with the FJ being a freebie.
I said āWe shall returnā for the finalā¦. Iām disappointed I got it wrong.
