I was 3/3 on DD but missed FJ. That’s extra bad for me because I recall, clearly, a visiting professor from England proper who told me of the “River Cam, which, before it becomes that, is the River Granta”. I didn’t recall, and, of course, got it wrong.

Stella really poured it on after the DD miss. That’s a powerhouse player move, when they nickel and dime their way up, to catch the DD person.

Stella! What a rousing comeback from literally nothing, against tough competition, no less. Final was going to be something with -bridge, but all I could think of was Sturbridge which I changed to Casterbridge. (And I’ve been to Cambridge!) I could not recall the name of Harry’s book, but it did get me thinking about the effects of primogeniture. First DD pretty easy, 2nd was too tough for moi.

Got the ambassador to France and I also know what machatunim are (the parents of the bride and groom) in Jewish parlance. Got the Bible book; not too many with “cc” in the title. (Also the source of the Pete Seeger song “Turn, Turn, Turn.”)

All three of our finalists are one step closer to securing that last spot in the TOC that begins on Monday. We have yet another missed tiebreaker opportunity.
