WHAT ARE THIEVES?
According to the Greek dictionary on billmounce.com, “kleptes” and “kleptai” appear 16 times in the New Testament, the latter being the plural for “thieves.” In Matthew 6, Jesus counsels his followers against virtue-signaling and using worldly goods as a measure of self-worth, among other things. Specifically, in 6:19-20 (KJV), Jesus says: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal;” and in Verse 20, he says that “treasures in heaven” are exempt from such hazards.
Chapter 6 in the Gospel of Matthew is part of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7).
Bill came up with the 3 Wisemen. He didn’t bet a shekel so his score remained $1,200.
Michelle thought it was tax collectors. She lost $31 and finished with $13,369.
Jonathan got it right. He didn’t bet a shekel either, having already won the game with his runaway $30,600. Jonathan Hugendubler joins Cameron Berry in the finals. Cameron’s $31,601 score is the one to beat to be at the first podium in the finals.

I must say I was dismayed when I first saw that Michelle was in the same game as Jonathan for fear of jinxing her (that silly superstition).
The only stumpers I didn’t get were the ones in the Ferry category and the Arab school. I was particularly proud of the Mexican leader one because the troops made fun of me sometimes for watching so many Westerns. tee hee
I wasn’t too delayed in seeing today’s game, considering I had to go to Sugar Land this morning for a PET scan. It’s freezing cold over there!
