Resignation Supporting Cast: Boardwalk Empire:

Here are some actors who were in the supporting cast of the second episode (Resignation) of Boardwalk Empire, Season 4

New faces:

J. Edgar Hoover (Eric Ladin) shows up to give Supervisor Elliot (Peter McRobbie) a hard time. Brian Geraghty (who made his debut in the Season 4 premiere, New York Sour, as Agent Warren Knox is there and turns out to be pretending to be corrupt to get the goods on Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi). Knox’s real name, it seems, is Jim.

Dr. Valentin Narcisse (Jeffrey Wright) is a businessman from Harlem who shows up at the Onyx Club with Mrs. Pastor (Jo Armeniox) and wangles a piece of the action.

Familiar faces from prior seasons:

Samuel Crawford (Ty Michael Robinson) is the fiancé of Chalky White’s (Michael Kenneth Williams) daughter, Maybelle (Christina Jackson). Samuel’s medical studies came in handy when Eddie Kessler (Anthony LaCiura) was shot during the battle royale in Season 3. Natalie Wachen was back as Chalky’s wife, Lenore.

Also back: George Baxter played by Allen Lewis Rickman, who appeared in two episode of Season 1. He was also in The Pony in Season 2, when he insisted on speaking to Nucky (Steve Buscemi) on the boardwalk right before the explosion at Babette’s, thereby saving Nucky’s life. In this episode, he is a guest at Chalky’s Onyx Club, in the same location where Babette’s used to be. He rubs Chalky’s head in a scene that might have reminded some older viewers of the Little Rascals “I wish I had a watermelon.”

Arron Shiver appeared as Chicago gangster Dean O’Banion with his henchman, Hymie Weiss (Will Janowitz).

Christiane Seidel returned as Sigrid Mueller, the wife of Nelson Van Alden aka George Mueller (Michael Shannon) and also the mother of his second child.

Gone for good:

After having served her purpose, Dr. Narcisse had his henchman dispose of Alma Pastor with the help of some rope.

Dolph Liebling (Stephen Paul Johnson), a man Carl Billings (Sean Cullen) hired Richard Harrow (Jack Huston) to kill. Harrow failed to do it so Billings had to do it himself.
