Patrick Kane Scores Two Goals, Blackhawks Win Fifth Straight
The Chicago Blackhawks started the 2017-18 season on a sluggish note but appear to be coming out of it. Patrick Kane scored twice as the Blackhawks beat the Minnesota Wild at the United Center 4-1 on December 17th for their fifth straight win. Kane has four goals in his last three games.
Goalie Corey Crawford had 27 saves, and also won his fifth straight game. He’s 5-0 in December, and has allowed just seven goals in those five games. Chicago improved to 17-11-5 (39 points) and trails Nashville and St. Louis (both with 46 points) as well as Winnipeg (43). Speaking of St. Louis and Winnipeg, the Blues missed a chance to take the lead over idle Nashville, losing to the Jets in Winnipeg 4-0.
