Against the Wall: The Boys Are Back

In the 10th Episode of “Against the Wall” (Season 1) “The Boys Are Back in Town,” we find Abby (Rachael Carpani) and Lina (Marisa Ramirez) investigating a brawl at a wedding at the Midwestern Homicide Convention; Lina butting in Abby’s love life and Daddy Kowalski (Treat Williams) butting in another love life. Here are some of the actors in this week’s cast:

We also find “horny ass nymph” Abby falling into the arms and bed of Danny Mitchell (Chris Johnson). OMG! What is going on here? What happened to last week’s booty call rules? It’s Danny who puts the brakes on and nothing happens. But now we’re wondering how bad Brody would want Abby if he happened to walk in on that somewhere sometime soon.

At the wedding the best man, Sam (Paul McGillion), finds the bride, Dee (Siobhan Hoffman), engaged in hot and heavy sex with another cop in a bathroom stall. In the ensuing melee, a little flower girl gets 8 stitches and a broken arm and ends up in the hospital. While they try to penetrate the blue wall around that incident, the same clown who was prepping the bride for her honeymoon is tossed off a balcony. This turns out to be Rob Moore (Andy Comeau).

Mackie (Mayko Nguyen) shows up with a new boyfriend, Levi (Vladimir Jon Cubrt), to help with the painting and such for Sheila Kowalski’s bakery. Her new boyfriend looks awfully familiar to Don Kowalski and not in a good way. Don checks up on him to confirm or dismiss his suspicions, then he has his son Steve (Steve Byers) pull Mackie and Levi over for an expired tag. Guess what’s in the glove compartment? A gun! And guess what’s in Mackie’s purse? A joint! Now Mackie will be facing 6 months probation at best and a year in jail at worst.

Lina wants to know why Abby is so afraid of commitment and tells her she needs to make a choice between Danny and Brody. Whoa, there Lina. Just because Abby asked you how you knew Carlos was the one, doesn’t mean you get to tell her what to do. (Especially because we think she’s voting for Danny and we’re voting for Brody).

It turns out that Rob Moore, (the clown thrown off the balcony) beat and raped another cop, Vickie Fields (Frankie Ingrassia), before he took up with the bride. She was walking around with the sunglasses and split lip but for some reason didn’t want to spill the beans on him to anyone but her partner Kyle Davis (Tim Campbell) who whomped on Rob, then threw him off the balcony. Rob gets charged, Kyle gets off the hook and Mackie does too thanks to some maneuvering from Steve. The cops collect $25K to pay for the little girl’s medical bills.

Final thought: it was kind of cool how for once they had some drama surrounding Don and Steve Kowalski. Their scene together where Don is about to ask Steve to check up on Mackie was cute.
