A.L. MVP Aaron Judge Picks Up Where He Left Off Last Season
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, the 2024 American League Most Valuable Player, began his 2025 season with an awesome display of firepower. In the Yankees three game series sweep at Yankee Stadium against the Milwaukee Brewers, Judge was six for 11 (.545) at the plate with four homers and 11 RBIs. That’s an OPS of 2.461. His best game of the three was the second game of the series on March 29th, when he hit three of his homers and drove in eight runs. The final score was 20-9.
The Yankees hit nine home runs in that game, which is a club record. They also hit three home runs off the first three pitches. All told, the Yankees scored 36 runs in three games.
New York hosts the Arizona Diamondbacks in in a three game set April 1st-3rd. If you are wondering when the Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers meet in a rematch of last year’s World Series, mark you calendars for May 30th-June 1st, a three game series at Dodger Stadium.
