Jimmie Angel was an American pilot and explorer. In 1933, shortly before World War II, Angel flew his aircraft over a large, uncharted mountain in southeastern Venezuela, known as Auyuan-Tepui. Jimmie Angel sighted a waterfall which he described as “a mile high.” Later, it was measured at 3,212 feet, and was named “Angel Falls” in his honor. Angel’s discovery of the Falls became part of scientific expeditions after World War II and made it’s way onto many scholarly journals. When Jimmie Angel died at age 57 in 1960, his wish to have his ashes scattered over Angel Falls was carried out.
Interesting: According to Karen Angel, Jimmie’s niece, Angel Falls was an inspiration for Pixar’s animated movie “Up” (2009). In the movie Carl and Ellie meet as children and dream of adventure. They want to eventually live by Paradise Falls. It very loosely parallels Angel’s relationship with his first wife Virginia.
Stephanie bet $300 and finished with $5,600.
Mary bet $10,200. That brought her up to $25,000.
Scott bet $9,601 and won the game with $29,601. His 2-day total is $46,800.

How could that waterfall have been such a secret until 1933?
Good question, Albert. According to Hugo Chavez, it wasn’t. This article is funny, though, in that Chavez didn’t seem to know too much about it himself
Finally a triple solve to close out today, congrats to all the players getting final right. We still need more triple solves like this. Although I prefer to Let ken host permanently, I think I might enjoy watching Aaron Rodgers doing jeopardy next week. Hopefully Scott can end the dry spell of leader curses as long as he masters the buzzer use. I noticed that yesterday and the day before that the contestants were using the Chuck Forrest bounce VJ, but I think the last person who mastered it was Brian Chang, maybe scott could definitely follow what Brian did in his run?
