Ethnicity in Pakistan is a blog that gives a breakdown of the nation’s ethic groups: “The province Punjab, also known as the land of five rivers constitutes various ethnic groups. Arabs, Afghani’s, Persians and Turks ruled the land mainly. Even though all these empires gradually disappeared from Punjab, but their culture and language became a part of people’s lives. Punjabi language has different dialects and there are almost 63 dialects of Punjabi are spoken throughout the province of Punjab. Shows how little media “talking heads” actually know. Where’s the power?
This tournament should be called Media Players, not Power Players. They are sadly lacking in general knowledge. They are media “talking heads”
Anderson Cooper kicked in an extra $40K to his charity to make up for not winning
I love the charity that he picked, too.
Easy fj today……… If you’ve been following……
lots of unnecessary chatter or remarks today…….
Guess they’re special or something….
Someone gonna miss……..
THe interview segment seemed to be quite long, with Alex saying LTAM after the first clue after the interview segment
The interview segment from today on my recording went from 8.15 to 11.44 (that is when Alex said “you are in command of the board”).
Yesterday it was 8.26 to 11.00, so today did go longer but I think all those missed clues made a big contribution, not to mention slow picking of the next clue .
Yesterday, they were moving it right along and only had 4 triple stumpers.
What is LTAM?
When Alex says “less than a minute”
Thanks, VJ. Dopey here couldn’t figure it out!!
LOL. Rhonda. You’re not dopey. I often have to look up internet shorthand. Sometimes I am not even seeing the letters right!
So gracious of you to say that, thanks again, VJ.
Given that these celebrities tonight took time to play for charity makes me enjoy them and their antics. Lara raising her hand was something I had never seen on Jeopardy before and was comical imo.
When Lara said “we don’t do sports” and Alex said Cam Newton they all knew who he was. lol
The fact that clues were left on the board was due to their antics. Btw, I could swear I heard Alex say “Hawkins” on that last clue instead of “Hawking.” The closed caption on my tv had “Hawkins” also.
I knew Cam Newton, too, once Alex said his name lol.
@Rhonda, I guess it’s misleading that everyone watches the Super Bowl. Cam Newton, QB Carolina Panthers, played in the Super Bowl this year.
Thanks, Jacob, I know next to nothing about football!
How about that Sir Paul McCartney clue. That was in the second round and apparently, Trebek didn’t hear Anderson say “Who is” and actually supplied it for him. LOL!! WTH?
PS Maybe I got the edited version because on mine, Trebek clearly says Hawking with no “S” at the end and the cc says Hawking.
@vj, that is weird on the cc. Everyone here is talking about “Hawkins” showing up on their cc. Is cc done differently in different markets?
That is weird! idk how it is done but here’s a screen cap of that moment, including Anderson saying “of course”, of course :):)
@VJ, your cc even has a different font style from ours. That’s interesting & wild.
So funny when she raised her hand. And when Anderson got so annoyed with himself for saying a wrong answer.
I appreciate the celebrities taking the time to play for charity, too, but I could have done without Anderson Cooper hollering “of course” every time Alex gave an answer.
I also appreciate the link for students in the recap. Very thoughtful.
Thank you. Nice to know it’s helpful 🙂
My hopes that they would finish a round were certainly dashed today. But at least they found all the Daily Doubles
I counted 12 more triple stumpers. They are over here
The whole category presidential music was untouched!
