ALL of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
Clark Stanley is one of three purveyors of snake oil honored with his own page on The Skeptiseum: “During the late 1800s a cowboy named Clark Stanley appeared on the American scene and sold a Snake Oil Liniment to many. He called himself ‘The Rattlesnake King’ and his liniment was said to ‘be good for man and beast.’ During the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago he entranced onlookers as he slaughtered hundreds of rattlesnakes.” The other two are Rattlesnake Pete and Abe Minklier.
Jeanne bet $13,995. She finished with $27,995.
Andrew bet $11,201, finishing with $28,001.
Buzzy bet $5,601 so he won the match with $33,601 and he is the new Jeopardy! champ. Another great game. All three players were terrific and each was in the lead at one point or another.
2 triple stumpers in the whole game:

Snake oil wasn’t half as awful as some of the 19th century remedies used for the answer to this $1,200 Ralph Waldo Emerson clue– “Emerson’s first wife died of this common lung disease of the time, sending him into grief & intellectual doubt.”

As a proud Clemson Grad. I am happy to see Deshaun Watson in the jeopardy clue.
Hope he will take us to the National Championship again.
I do like Buzzy. I wonder what his real name is? He did name his beard Victor.
Maybe Alex will ask him tomorrow. I remember years ago, there was an actor named Boomie (his Jeopardy appearances are listed on his IMDB page.)
Alex asked him his real name in this game
I wonder though if they ask contestants in advance if it’s okay to ask them that question.
Thanks for reminding me about Boomie, VJ!
I remember a contestant named Bobcat from many years back. I think that he won several games.
Buzzy has some nice glasses?
Buzzy was quick on the buzzer today. 🙂 I think that helped him get the DDs that I didn’t think were hard at all.
