Jeopardy News: Kids Week Coming Soon
Maybe sooner than you think. One of the contestants gave an interview to Florida’s Sun Sentinel detailing his experience as one of the contestants. The 5 episodes, Zane Ice saids, were taped in October, one right after the other, “so Trebek kept running in and out to change his suit.”
Look for Zane, who is 12 years old and the only contestant from Florida, on Thursday, December 4th, when he will compete against two girls.
“Kids Week” is an event, not a tournament. The winner does not advance to the next game. There are 3 different players every day. So there are 5 champions, with a minimum guarantee of $15,000 for the winner. Second and third place consolation prizes are the same as in regular games: $2,000 and $1,000.
There was no “Kids Week” tournament during Season 30, undoubtedly because of the Battle of the Decades, and not because of the infamous Emanciptation game (Season 29, 7/29-8/2/2013).
Jeopardy! now has these clips on their youtube channel. The kids tells their favorite jokes.
