Tebow or Sanchez? Jets Quarterback Controversy Rages

Here’s an easy question.  Which team in the NFL has the most dysfunctional locker room?  The answer has to be the New York Jets.  Earlier this week, the NY Daily News reported that several, mostly anonymous players on the Jets publicly ripped backup quarterback Tim Tebow, using words like “terrible” to describe his play.  It’s hard to tell just how good or bad Tebow is this season, since he’s the backup, but starter Mark Sanchez is at the bottom of the league in completion percentage at 52%.

The opinion that Tebow is terrible is not shared by all the Jets.  Running back Shonn Greene feels a change at QB may be in order (the Jets are 3-6 with Sanchez, so how much worse can it get), and coach Rex Ryan called the anonymous critics “cowardly”.

In St. Louis, former Jet and current Rams’ lineman confirmed that this type of teammate bashing goes on all the time with the Jets.

Let’s see.  The Jets are 3-6 and unlikely to make the post season this year and they haven’t been to the Super Bowl since 1969.  Maybe instead of saying the backup QB sucks, some of these underachieving critics should look in the mirror.  Trashing one’s teammates in public is not tolerated or condoned in the locker rooms of winners.
