Connor McDavid Scores 400th Career Goal

Edmonton’s Connor McDavid scored a pair of goals in the Oilers 5-2 win over Utah in Salt Lake City on March 24th. The two goals were the 400th and 401st of McDavid’s career, and the last goal was also his 1200th point of his career. McDavid had no assists in the game, but he has 799 in his career. It’s another great season for McDavid, who has 40 goals and 78 assists (118 points) this season.

Edmonton, in second place in the Pacific Division improved to 25-28-9 (79 points) for the season, five points behind front runner Anaheim. While the Oilers are in good shape to make the Stanley Cup playoffs, a third consecutive trip to the finals will be difficult this time around. Leon Draisaitl, who had 35 goals and 62 assists in 65 games this season, suffered a lower body injury on March 15th and will be out for the rest of the regular season. His status for the playoffs is uncertain and depends on how well he recovers.
