Trevor Lawrence Throws Three TD Passes to lead Jacksonville Over Denver

The Jacksonville Jaguars extended their winning streak to six games and ended the Denver Broncos 11 game streak with a 34-20 victory in Denver on December 21st. Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence passed for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Jaguars (11-4) maintained a one game lead in the AFC South over the Houston Texans (10-5) who are on a seven game winning streak themselves.

Denver (12-3) has the lead by tie breakers over the New England Patriots (12-3) in the race for the top seed in the AFC. The Broncos will be at Kansas City on Christmas Day and will close the regular season hosting the San Diego Chargers. Denver lost to the Chargers back in September and has beaten the Chiefs in their first meeting. Jacksonville, currently the #3 seed in the AFC, is at Indianapolis and home against Tennessee in the Jaguars’ final two contests. The schedule is favorable; the Jaguars have beaten both of them earlier this season, and the Colts have lost four in a row while the Titans are 3-12. The Patriots have a favorable schedule themselves in the race for the #1 seed, with games at the New York Jets (3-12), and then hosting Miami (6-9).
