In the first week of Season 42, we had 4 of the clues evenly divided between one or two correct responses. Only 2 players got a crack at Thursday’s clue and neither one of them got it. We’ll never know if the third player might have known it, but we still think it was the week’s hardest clue. Monday’s Famous Names clue was a bit easier than Wednesday’s Historic Phrases clue because of Winston Churchill!
This week’s winners:
Mon 9/08/25 $40,000 Jonathan Hugendubler
Tue 9/09/25 $22,009 Ian Morrison
Wed 9/10/25 $20,001 Paolo Pasco
Thu 9/11/25 $34,196 Paolo Pasco
Fri 9/12/25 $25,544 Paolo Pasco
Jonathan Hugendubler kicked the season off with a runaway and what turned out to be the week’s highest payday and brought Jonathan’s 2-day haul up to $63,601. Rock history helped Ian Morrison take over on Tuesday. Paolo Pasco sent Ian home on Wednesday and won every game for the rest of the week. Paolo had 2 runaways and finished with a 3-day total of $79,741.
