Clay and Arsenio on Wendy Williams

Clay Aiken and Arsenio Hall appeared on The Wendy Williams Friday May 18th to talk about their upcoming faceoff … and AUBREY! Arsenio had some strong stuff to say about Miss O’Day and it was, well, weird — but before we get to that, while we’re talking about weird, how about Wendy’s outfit? She had on a bright yellow skirt and a bright orange-red top. She looked like a big popsicle and she had on her 28″ cuticle hair wig. “Cuticle hair is the softest hair on the planet,” she said.

The Top Two Celebrity Apprentice contestants gave Wendy big hugs and after exchanging compliments and pleasantries, they got down to brass tacks. Clay Aiken said he was not surprised he made it into the Finals because he doesn’t go into anything he doesn’t think he would do well at. “You won’t see me on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ ’cause there’s no way I’d be successful at it.”

Wendy recalled how she thought Arsenio was a soft player. “I’m the guy that kills with sugar,” Arsenio said. He said it’s real important that people like him. She grabbed his hands and couldn’t believe how soft they are. “Oh my gosh, you can tell you don’t work!” Wendy exclaimed.

Talk then turned to Arsenio’s lapse in calling Aubrey O’Day the ‘c’ word. Arsenio revealed that he and Aubrey had a conversation when they first met. He asked Aubrey if the ‘c’ word bothered her because Lisa Lampanelli uses it liberally. Aubrey replied that it didn’t bother her because it was her mother’s nickname for her when she was young! How charming.

Arsenio made Aubrey tell Donald Trump that story herself because he didn’t think Trump would buy it if he told it and Aubrey honestly told it. Later, when he was in his hotel room, he thought “if your momma calls you that word, that word is not good for me to use.”

Wendy said she agreed with Aubrey that they were both haters for picking her last in “Then There Were Two,” the first episode of the finale. Clay pointed out that anyone who watched the whole series knew that Aubrey was certainly not the opposite of a hater. We watched it and we wouldn’t have picked her either. Sometimes when people are hating on you, you deserve it. Duh!

“She’s the wrong person to raise money for GLSEN,” Arsenio said. GLSEN is the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, a non-profit with the goal of ending discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Clay tried to diffuse that one, but Arsenio wasn’t having it. “But she called him (Clay) a queen. Isn’t that totally oxymoronic to what GLSEN’s about and I’m sure if I went on Twitter, she’s probably calling me a queen, too, today?” Wendy asked him if he is a queen. “Stop,” he said. Arsenio has never been married but he does have a 12-year old son, Arsenio, Jr., from his relationship with his former manager, Cheryl Bonacci and Wendy showed a pic of them together.

After Wendy got the interview back on track, Clay pointed out that he will always say Aubrey was the most creative person on the show, but she is not very easy to work with.

So who do you think will win? Clay or Arsenio? Don’t forget Dayana Mendoza and Lou Ferrigno are coming back for the finale. Lou will be giving 110%!
