“Bad Teacher” Gets the Axe Along with 3 Other CBS Series
CBS Comedy “Bad Teacher,” starring Ari Graynor in the title role, has been canceled along with four other shows, although CBS decided to keep “The Mentalist” around for another season.
Also cut were: “The Crazy Ones” starring Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar: “Friends with Better Lives” with James Van deer Beek and Brooklyn Decker; and the drama “Hostages” featuring Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott.
Ah, well, c’est la vie. We’ve been watching “Bad Teacher” and up to the last episode, even recapping it. “Evaluation Day” was kind of a let down though with Ginny taking Meredith out and getting her drunk the night before guy from the school district shows up. Meredith is supposed to be a hip savvy player while Ginny is an uptight witch. So it was hard to believe Meredith would fall for that dumb trick — it usually only works on alcoholics and very lonely people to begin with. We do have to agree with other opinions we’ve seen that the talents of David Alan Grier went to waste in this series. Maybe they do have an episode that revolves around him. Maybe we will never get to see it!
