Austin Rogers Jeopardy! Statistics

Austin Rogers began his Jeopardy run on September 26th and quickly became a fan favorite when he won $65,600 in one day on October 2nd and followed that up with $69,000 the next day. That gave him 2 of the 5 spots in the top 5 daily payouts of all time. Austin also won hearts by performing little mimes during his introductions. He elaborates on that in this video:

Austin now ranks No. 5 in Jeopardy’s Hall of Fame for most consecutive wins, right between 13x champ Matt Jackson and 12x champ Seth Wilson. Eight of Austin’s games were runaways and he finished his 12 games with $612 less than Matt Jackson won in his 13 games. Here is a table with quick statistics on all of Austin’s matches.

That (R) after the winnings means he already had a runaway going into Final Jeopardy! TDD = True Daily Double. The dates link to the game recaps.

In Austin’s last game, he went into Final Jeopardy! in second place for the first time. He bet everything he had except $50. Austin picked up another $2,000 from that game but he did not win the game, so that’s considered a consolation prize.

Austin was already friends with Jimmy Fallon before he went on Jeopardy! and he appeared on The Tonight Show on the same day he lost to Scarlet Sims. Jimmy got him a present now that he is “upper middle class.” (In NYC, you’re gonna need more than $411,000 to be called rich).

I enjoyed The Tonight show clip, VJ—Austin is funny. The J! introduction: “it’s a long-ass time”, lol!

LOL, Cece. That get-up Jimmy Fallon got him was hilarious. On the first video, I agree with him that you remember things better when you look up stuff. That’s exactly why I like to find a page to read on the hard clues.

Yeah, that outfit was seriously insane. Here’s an exercise: try to picture him as a Jeopardy host after Alex retires, just for a minute……a whole 60 seconds…………Exhausting, isn’t it?
