She explained the tournament format: 27 celebrities will compete in 9 quarterfinal matches. 3 winners will then compete in 3 semifinal matches and the 3 winners will advance to the finals to compete for $1,000,000 for charity. Mayim also revealed that, for the first time ever, the games in this tournament will feature an extra round: Triple Jeopardy!

WHAT IS VATICAN CITY?

There’s a 2018 article, Independent Countries with Less than 50,000 People, right here on Fikkle Fame. It gives the area of Vatican City as 0.17 square miles and a 2015 population of 1,000 residents. Global Geographia gives the same area and a 2022 population of 620 inhabitants.

There are different figures on different sites all over the net; however, they all agree that Vatican City is the smallest country in the world and it also fits the landlocked part of the clue, being totally surrounded by the City of Rome.

Ego thought it was Togo. She bet the whole $10,000 and finished with nothing.

Simu got it right. He bet his whole $11,600 and finished with $23,200.

Andy thought it was Liechtenstein (without the first ‘E’). He lost his $2,200 and finished with $18,900. That meant a very surprised Simu won the match and he advances to the Semifinals. Ego and Andy each won $30,000 for their charities.

Celebrity Jeopardy (9/25/2022) Simi Liu, Ego Nwodim, Andy Richter

4 triple stumpers:

Round 1: Telling a Bedtime Story ($500) Her cupboard, bare; she found her dog dead, left to buy a coffin, then found the pup laughing…sounds more like Stephen King

Round 2: Cats & Dogs ($800) Developed in what is now Thailand, this popular breed of cat comes in Blue Point, Chocolate Point & Seal Point varieties

Round 3: Skeletal System ($1200) Also called the clavicle, it’s a popular but also, like all bones, painful tattoo site

Fashion with Buzzy Cohen ($900) Popular for both men & women, a closed shoe with a wide strap and a big buckle on the side is named for this religious job; since I’m twice as fashionable as most, I’m sporting the kind with a double strap

We almost didn’t get to see the show at the time it came on here (7:00 p.m. Central). We had a power outage for over an hour. They send messages on the status and they said it would be back on by 6:15. Then at 6:00, they sent another one that said it wouldn’t be back on til 8:40!! But it came back on at 6:10.
