Lisa finished in the lead with $9,200. Seth was second with $5,600 and Sam was last with $4,400.

Lisa found the first Daily Double in “Mechanics” under the $800 clue on the 10th pick. She was in the lead with $11,200 at this point, $2,800 more than Seth in second place. She bet $2,000 and she was RIGHT.

3 clues later, Seth found the last Daily Double in “Where & When?” under the $1,600 clue. In second place with $8,000, he had $5,200 less than Lisa’s lead. He bet $2,500, and was a year off so that was WRONG.

Lisa finished in the lead with $14,400. Sam was next with $12,400 and Seth was in third place with $9,900.
Only ONE of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

Seth went with Iowa. That cost him $4,501 and left him with $5,399.
Sam had Florida. He lost $4,200, to finish with $8,200.
Lisa got it right. She bet $1,000 so she nailed a semi-final spot with $15,400.

I was upset about Seth missing that Daily Double – one year off. Ouch! I was hoping he would catch up to Lisa and at least get a Wild Card boo hoo boo hoo
Yeah, mimsy, tough break for Seth on that DD. That reminded me of a list I made on here that shows the century and the year each state was admitted and who was President. Too bad Seth didn’t see it or he would have at least had the 18th and 20th centuries down pat. But, even if he got it, he had to get FJ to make the cut. Kudos to Lisa for getting it, but it was such a confusing clue that I’m not doubting it will be the worst of the week without even seeing tomorrow’s clue yet.

Does the apples in this final jeopardy clue remind you of Newton,VJ? He used that theory to discover gravity, and the Apple reminds me of the big Apple in New York and william tell. Those things has everything to do with Apple don’t you agree,? I thought Seth knew Washington state so.that should have given him a wild card spot.
@Lou, the first thing l usually think of for any given word is a song, and if I can’t think of one, sometimes I make one up 🙂
For apple, at one point in my life, I would have thought of “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree.” At another “Little Green Apples,” and when my kids were young “Apples and Bananas” and I think of “Apples and Bananas” now, too, because we’re always playing kids’ songs for the little ones.
