WHO IS MOTHER TERESA?

Mother Teresa was obviously very much aware of disputes over her heritage when she said: “By blood, I am Albanian. By citizenship, an Indian. By faith, I am a Catholic nun. As to my calling, I belong to the world. As to my heart, I belong entirely to the heart of Jesus.” She was born in 1910 in the Kosovo Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire, now Skopje, Macedonia. These debates arose anew when Mother Teresa was declared a saint by the Catholic Church in 2016. Read about that on Inquirer.net: Balkan countries contest Mother Teresa’s heritage

Here’s Mother Teresa’s first FJ in “Famous Women” (9/27/1989), when her birthplace was in a different country: “Born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in 1910 in what is now Yugoslavia, she became a citizen of India in 1948.”

Alex bet $1,500. That brought her up to $6,700.

Kara bet $10,000 to her score, to finish with $25,700.

Eric bet $14,700 and won the match up with $31,500. He is the new Jeopardy! champ.

The players did really well in this game — I only counted 4 triple stumpers. Maybe they could have put that second “In the City” category in the first round, though really I could have entirely done without it. lol

A great triple solve on today’s episode. What was the role of mother Theresa, in other words how did she help shape her country into what it is now, VJ? And also who is cyrus the great?
