Steph found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Paint Miss, Behaving” under the $800, with 6 clues remaining after it. She was in the second place with $3,000, $1,600 less than Sean’s lead. She bet $1,500 and took a guess with Kadinsky. That was WRONG.

Steph found the first Daily Double in “Foe Pa” under the $1,600 clue on the 10th pick. She was in third place with $2,300 at this point, $6,700 less than Sean’s lead. She made it a true Daily Double and she was RIGHT.

Sean found the last Daily Double in “Meh Decade” under the $1,600 clue, with 5 clues to go after it. In the lead with $13,000, he had $6,800 more than Steph in second place. He bet $3,000 and he was RIGHT.

Sean finished in the lead with a runaway $18,800. Steph was next with $7,000 and Meghan was in third place with $3,000.

Chevrolet originally intended to use a checkered flag and an American flag on the Corvette’s emblem, but right before its release in 1953, they realized that, pursuant to the National Flag Code, they could not use the American flag for advertising purposes. They decided to use something connected with the company’s founder, Louis Chevrolet, but were unable to uncover a family crest so they opted for the fleur-de-lis, the French symbol for peace and purity. Steph wrote “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and Alex liked her sense of humor. She lost her $3,000 bet, finishing with $4,000.
Sean crossed out LeSabre in favor of GTO. That cost him $3,800 bet so he won the match with $15,000. Congrats to the new Jeopardy! champ, Sean Sullivan.

I’m questioning that last ‘Daily Double’ answer/question. Because everything I found online says it (GREAT AWAKENING) didn’t start until the late 1730’s.
@Becci, Brittanica backs the clue up: “Great Awakening, religious revival in the British American colonies mainly between about 1720 and the ’40s.” (LINK)
That might be, but if you search for the term ‘Great Awakening’ you will find more results that say it started in the 1730’s. But I suppose it’s really too late to do anything about it now?

That’s true, Becci — with 1730s in quotes, I got 2x as many results as 1720s in quotes. I guess the latter ones give credit to those who originated the movement before it became widespread.
Ah, but we had a runaway game all the same. Not to be contrary, but Sean’s response was my favorite because I love “Little GTO” by Ronnie & the Daytonas

I never had a Corvette, Lou, or a GTO for that matter. I had a Chevy Cavalier station wagon once, though, and a Nova, too, I think.

Well.it seems we didn’t see steph get a runaway but I like that chitty chitty bang bang response. Still though glad that Sean didn’t lose a lot in this round. Also didn’t you used to have a corvette, VJ? Have you switched to other cars now or does someone else drive cars in your family?
Her response was funny, but she should have protected second place by betting 1000 or less.
