Tony Romo and Candice Crawford Tie Knot

Dallas Cowboy’s Tony Romo married Dallas TV reporter Candice Crawford on Saturday, May 28, 2011. The new bride is also the sister of “Gossip Girls” Chace Crawford, so Tony’s also got a famous brother-in-law. The couple began dating at the end of 2009 and got engaged on the bride’s 24th birthday (December 16, 2010). The groom is 31 years old.

People.com reported that guests were given gift bags monogrammed with the couple’s initials, which contained a Neiman Marcus gift card, cookies, chocolates, gourmet popcorn and other goodies.

Tight end Jason Witten and linebacker Bobby Carpenter and brother, Chace, served as groomsmen, wearing custom made Dolce & Gabbana tuxes. Jason’s wife, Michelle, and Tony’s sister, Jossalyn, served as bridesmaids in Badgley Mischka dresses. Chace and Tony’s other sister, Danielle, gave a reading from the Bible before the vows took place.

Among the reported 600 guests were Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, former Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips, Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, receiver Miles Austin and Leonard Davis there. “This is the most dressed up I’ve been all year,” Davis joked.

According to one guest, the wedding cake was outstanding, “almost as tall as the ceiling.”
