The Last Emperor: 1987 Best Picture

“The Last Emperor” was the big winner at the 60th Academy Awards, scooping up Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Costume and 4 more. The other Best Picture contenders were “Broadcast News”, “Fatal Attraction”, “Hope and Glory” and “Moonstruck.”

Michael Douglas won the Best Actor Oscar for “Wall Street” and Sean Connery got Best Supporting Actor for “The Untouchables.” Cher and Olympia Dukakis took home Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for “Moonstruck.”
