Taylor Swift: Money and Regrets

Taylor Swift sat down with ET Online’s Nancy O’Dell to talk about all her moolah and some of her regrets. It was pretty funny, at least the part of the interview that was televised today (Monday, Oct 22). Nancy O’Dell was talking more than Taylor and we were wondering if she was even going to let Taylor answer for a few seconds.

But anyhow, in the money department, Taylor made more dough this year than Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. Not put together, then we would have said AND. O’Dell wanted to know what Taylor does with all that money. She is very responsible, Taylor explained, because she was raised by a financial advisor. She is aware that she won’t have that kind of money coming in forever. The biggest extravagance she has indulged in is her Nashville residence where she can see the entire city from every view.

O’Dell and Taylor than talked about the downside of such fame. “It’s not fair that everything is such a big deal,” the 22-year-old songbird whined. She thinks that most people her age are able to make mistakes and learn from them without being in a fishbowl. Well, sure. That’s because none of those people are in the public eye making over 50 million dollars a year.

“It feels like there are a lot of consequences to everything that I do,” Taylor continued. There are consequences to everything everyone does.

“But at the same time, I have to understand that there are incredible perks that come with this life.” Then it must be worth it.
