Sean Kingston in Jet Ski Accident

Hip hop singer, Sean Kingston and a female companion have been hospitalized after a jet ski accident, when his watercraft crashed into a Miami Beach bridge.

Jorge Pino, a spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, said that the watercraft hit the Palm Island Bridge around 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 30th. Both Sean and his companion are being treated at Ryder Trauma Center, but he didn’t know the extent of their injuries. He added that an investigation into the crash is ongoing but “nothing at this point would indicate that alcohol played a role.”

A representative for Kingston’s label Epic Records told the Associated Press early Monday that Kingston “was now stabilized.”

The 21-year-old Miami native, who was born Kisean Anderson, had a hit in 2007 with “Beautiful Girls,” and has since been featured on songs by artists, including Justin Bieber.

Tweets praying a speedy recovery came from his music world friends and colleagues:

Rihanna : “Sean we praying for u baby.”

Nicki Minaj : “My love & prayers are with Sean Kingston & his family.”
