Saints trade Reggie Bush and Melissa Molinaro to Dolphins

As expected, the New Orleans Saints have traded running back Reggie Bush. Bush became expendable after the Saints drafted Alabama running back and Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram. Bush was in the final year of his contract and was to receive $11.8 million if he stayed with the Saints. That was way too much to pay for a running back who overall has proved to be average, not to mention injury riddled.
So, New Orleans dealt Bush to the Miami Dolphins in exchanged for a reserve defensive back and two draft choices. More importantly for the Saints, it frees up some salary cap money. The deal depended on Bush signing a new contract, which he did, a two year approximately $10 million deal. Still not too shabby.
These days, any trade for Reggie Bush also involves girlfriend Melissa Molinaro. So far, there have been no comments from her about Reggie’s change of base to Miami, but we’re guessing she’ll like the beaches and nightlife there just fine.
