Rosie O’Donnell Responds to Adopted Daughter’s Declaration

in two different ways… at least according to Inside Edition. They spoke with Chelsea O’Donnell, the adopted daughter that Rosie reported missing last August. At the time that she was reported missing, Chelsea was 17 years old. She is now 18.

Chelsea told Inside Edition that she did not run away but was kicked out by Rosie herself, and that contrary to Rosie’s claims, she does not have mental problems. And she produced a bunch of texts that she said were received from Rosie after the segment aired on Monday, November 2nd, where she said she does not love Rosie. The text messages ranged from “I don’t love u either” to “u suck.”

Rosie was not saying anything of the sort to US Magazine. The 53- year-old comedienne and talk show host made an appearance in New York City at her Rosie’s Theater Kids Gala in NYC, flanked by 3 other adopted kids, Parker, 20, Blake, 15, and Vivienne, 12. Rosie indicated that it was sad that Chelsea wasn’t there, saying “hopefully, there will come a day when she’ll want to come.” Rosie was also still claiming that Chelsea had mental issues and that she got her the best help available for that but now that Chelsea is 18, “there is nothing a parent can do.”

We imagine that tomorrow will bring a denial from Rosie that she wrote those terrible texts. It’s hard to believe that Rosie would actually send such messages to someone she has previously warned not to speak to the press, and now knows is not only speaking to the press, but trashing her as well.
