RIP Francesco Quinn

Actor, Francesco Quinn died at his home in Malibu, California on Friday, August 5th, at the age of 48, according to reports.

His agent, Arlene Thornton said in a statement on Sunday: “We are extremely saddened to announce the untimely death of our dear client and friend, Francesco Quinn.” Ms. Thornton noted that the exact cause of death remained undetermined even while local media reports were calling it a heart attack.

The son of Hollywood legend Anthony Quinn and his second wife, Jolanda Addorlori, Francesco was born in Rome in 1963.

He began his acting career in 1985 as Marcus Vinicius in the dramatic series “Quo Vadis?” (1985). In 1986, Quinn had a large role in Oliver Stone’s “Platoon,” portraying underground drug king Rhah. The multilingual actor went on to perform in more than 30 films, including four with his famous father. The most recently released film was “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”

Francesco Quinn is survived by his wife, Valentina and three children, Sofia and twins, Max and Michela, as well as his mother and brothers, Lorenzo Quinn and Danny Quinn, and 8 half-siblings.
