Ringo Starr Induction Into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Ringo Starr was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist on Saturday night, April 18, 2015, for his solo career after the breakup of the Beatles. The 74-year-old drummer, singer, songwriter was the last of the Beatles to be inducted individually. He was inducted by his Beatles’ bandmate, Paul McCartney, who was himself inducted in 1999. John Lennon and George Harrison were both inducted for their solo achievements post-humously, in 1994 and 2004, respectively.

Ringo didn’t look a day older than he does in this 2002 video singing “Photograph,” one of his No. 1 hits from the early 1970s.

Also inducted were Green Day, Lou Reed, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Bill Withers, guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band and The “5” Royales.
