Former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss celebrated his 35th birthday on February 13th by announcing he plans to try and return to football as a player for the 2012 season. Moss retired back in August of 2011, but after missing one season, he’s apparently rejuvenated enough to give it another try.
At his peak, Moss was one of the best, if not the best, wideout in football. He led the NFL in receiving touchdowns five times in his career (1998-2010). But he seemed to lose interest at times, like when he thought they weren’t throwing to him enough or if his team had fallen out of contention, and he wore out his welcome with the Minnesota Vikings (twice), the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, and Tennessee Titans. In fact, he was with three teams in his forgettable final season of 2010.
We’re sure some team, or teams, will give him a tryout and if he’s stayed in shape, he could very well be playing again. It remains to be seen if his attitude has changed with a year off.
