Player’s Agent Questions Aaron Rodgers’ Leadership

This week in the Department of Complete Absurdity, we have Blake Baratz, the agent for Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley tweeting that while Aaron Rodgers is a great  quarterback, he isn’t a great leader. “ARod is a great QB he isn’t a great leader. There’s a major difference. Leaders take the blame & make every1 better. He doesn’t.” he tweeted during a twitter exchange with football fans.

Um, what?  Gee, Blake, should Rodgers take the blame for your very talented client not playing up to his ability like the 11 dropped passes he had in 2011, or the three he’s dropped in the first two games this season, plus the fumble he lost, the missed blocks…you get the picture.

When he’s on his game, Finley can be as good as any tight end in the NFL, but he needs to bring his A Game more often and his agent needs to be quiet.  Finley himself has distanced himself from the comments and Baratz has stated that the opinions are his alone and not Finley’s.  Baratz’ opinions are also not shared by the rest of the Packer’s either.  “Everybody in this locker room looks up to him as a leader” said wide receiver James Jones who added “everybody in this locker room believes in him”.
