Well, the feuding in the press between Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen and former White Sox and current Boston Red Sox pitcher Bobby Jenks reached the ugly stage.

This whole thing started back in December when Jenks said it would be nice to play for the Red Sox with a manager who knew how to manage a bullpen. Then as spring training got underway, Jenks told the Chicago Tribune that the sometimes contentious relationship between Guillen and the White Sox general manager Ken Williams “gets old…it’s been a problem for a long time”.

Ozzie Guillen is not one to mince words. “Too bad that all the stuff we had between me and Kenny interrupted his career because he did a lot of bad things last year,” he fumed. [Red Sox manager Terry Francona won't put up with the [expletive] we put up with here. We don’t miss him. You ask 30 guys in there.”
For his part, Terry Francona had enough of the exchange and contacted Ozzie Guillen to put an end to it. “I don’t care if they like each other, but Bobby is a Red Sox and we need to move on. I think [Guillen] understands that” he said.
The White Sox play a three game set in Fenway Park starting on May 30th, and the Red Sox visit Chicago for a three game set starting July 29th. We’ll see if the feud is still simmering then.
