Mike “The Situation” DWTS Underdog?

Filming for the MTV’s “Jersey Shore” caused a bit of a situation for Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. He already had to miss a couple of days rehearsal for his new gig on “Dancing With the Stars.”

The Situation told People magazine: “… I don’t mind being the underdog. I promise to try my hardest and practice as much as I can and be the best that I can be.” He also said he felt pretty good about being on two top shows this year.

He’s hoping his fan base, “the Situation Nation” will be on hand to support him and also plans to reserve a couple of seats for Jersey Shore castmates, Pauly D and Snooki.

We don’t know about him being an underdog — we hear Bristol Palin is getting much lower odds than he is. Bristol already knows who her partner will be: Mark Ballas. And does she even have a fan base?

The Situation will find out who his partner is tomorrow.

The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” starts on September 20th at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

“Jersey Shore” is currently on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
