Mariska Hargitay Hospitalized

‘Law & Order: SVU’ star Mariska Hargitay has been hospitalized with a partially collapsed lung (pneumothorax). Apparently, she experienced the same problem during the Christmas holidays.

Mariska’s rep told People Magazine that the actress won’t be taking any time off from work, though how she came by that cheerful forecast, we don’t know.

Ms. Hargitay was nominated for a Golden Globe but was a no-show at the ceremony this week.

The injury had no connection to the sometimes strenuous work Mariska puts in as Detective Olivia Benson, as the actress had been on vacation.

UPDATE: Mariska has been hospitalized again for the same problem and reports again are saying she’ll be back to work in no time. Well, let’s hope she takes some time to get the rest and proper treatment she needs. Her health is a lot more important than Law and Order SUV!
