Louisville Basketball Team Gets Visit from Bill Clinton After Victory

Being a former President of the United States opens a lot of doors.  After the 4th ranked Louisville basketball team beat Villanova 74-55 to advance to the Big East Tournament semi finals on March 14th, the team got a surprise locker room visit from Bill Clinton.

Clinton is a friend of Louisville coach Rick Pitino, and is also a long time college basketball fan.  During his presidency, we remember him being in the house when Arkansas beat Duke for the NCAA Title back in 1994.  During the game broadcast, there were shots Clinton cheering on his home state Arkansas Razorbacks, and of course, that got some people upset who thought the president should remain “neutral”.  Of course, that line of thinking  is beyond stupid.

The players got plenty of photo ops with the former prez and a good time was had by all.  Louisville (27-5) faces Notre Dame (25-8) in a tournament semi final on March 15th.  The winner will face either Georgetown or Syracuse in the Big East Tournament finals.  After that, it’s on to the NCAA Tournament nest week.
