After being out for three weeks due to a concussion, Lindsey Vonn returned to top form with a victory in the Downhill at a World Cup event in Are, Sweden on February 26th. It was her seventh victory of the season (third in the Downhill event) and 40th of her career, the most of any American skier, male or female.

She leads the World Cup standings in the downhill by 100 points, but trails Germany’s Maria Riesch in the overall standings by 176. Tina Maze of Slovenia was second in the race and Riesch was third.
Concussions have been all over the sports news in recent months, where the NFL has been adapting new rules regarding when a player can return after suffering a concussion. In the NHL, Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby was placed on the injured reserve list January 6th due to a concussion and is out indefinitely. So it’s great to see Lindsey Vonn back at the top of her game.
We here at Fikkle Fame think it’s wrong to focus on a world class female athlete’s looks. No sir, we’ll have none of that here. The focus should be entirely on how she performs in her sport. Ha! Who are we kidding? Here’s some video of Lindsey Vonn during the picture shoot for Sports Illustrated’s 2010 Swimsuit issue.
