Warner Bros. is getting sued for copying Mike Tyson’s facial tattoo for their flick, Hangover Part 2, but not by Iron Mike.
“Hangover Part 2″ stars Ed Helms as Stu Price, who wakes up in the bathtub after a wild bachelor party with the tattoo on his face. Bradley Cooper, Justin Bartha and Zach Galifianakis reprise their roles from the original 2009 movie, as Phil Wenneck, Doug Billings and Alan Garner, respectively.

S. Victor Whitmill is the guy who tatted up Mike Tyson’s mug in 2003 in Las Vegas and he also owns the copyright to the tattoo design. The complaint filed in a St. Louis court stated:
“When Mr. Whitmill created the Original Tattoo, Mr. Tyson agreed that Mr. Whitmill would own the artwork and thus, the copyright in the Original Tattoo. Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. — without attempting to contact Mr. Whitmill, obtain his permission, or credit his creation — has copied Mr. Whitmill’s Original Tattoo and placed it on the face of another actor …
The complaint claims copyright infringement and Whitmill is seeking to block the use of the tattoo on actor Ed Helm’s face while advertising the movie.
Really surprised! We’re sure that Warner Bros. legal department would be all over anyone’s ass for any unauthorized use of their stuff, but it’s okay to rip off the little guy? We think not.
