Free on Amazon This Weekend: Mozart in the Jungle

Usually, you can only watch “Mozart in the Jungle” if you are an Amazon Prime member, but this weekend, you can binge watch the entire series from Friday through Sunday night (1/15-1/17/2016).

“Mozart in the Jungle” recently won a Golden Globe for Best TV Series in the Comedy or Musical category and its star, Gael Garcial Bernal, won one for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series in the same category, so Amazon wants to give everyone a chance to check out why, and of course, they are hoping that you will enjoy the experience so much that you will sign up to their Prime membership. So much so that they are lowering the price from the usual $99 to $73. They picked that figure because the Golden Globes ceremony was its 73rd.

Set in New York City, “Mozart in the Jungle” is based on the 2005 same name memoir by oboist Blair Tindall that is subtitled “Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music.” There. Now you have an idea on what it’s about.

Not to be a killjoy, but Amazon Prime usually offers a free one-month trial in case you miss this weekend’s promo and still want to see it.
