Fox Announces 10 GOP Candidates in First Debate

Fox News announced its complete 10-candidate line-up for the first Republican presidential debate of this year. The event will be held in Cleveland on Thursday night and will begin at 9:00 pm ET.

The 10 who are in are: Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, and John Kasich.

The 7 who are out: Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Bobby Jindal, Carly Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, George Pataki, and Jim Gilmore. These candidates will have the chance to participate in an earlier hour-long candidate forum at 5 pm.

According to reports, it’s going to be like speed debating due to the number of candidates participating. The moderators are supposed to impose limits of 60-second answers and 30-second rebuttals “if you are attacked by name,” said Mike Huckabee, who also told CBS’ Face the Nation that “probably a lot of us are sitting there hoping that we get attacked by name so we get a little more time.” Donald Trump probably isn’t sitting around worrying about that too much.
