Monday’s clue produced the most correct responses but we didn’t see any triple solves this week. Tuesday’s clue was the toughest for me, but not for one of the players. It was just not on my “radar,” one of the wrong responses. Thursday and Friday were both triple stumpers. We wondered if Nilanka saw the 12/15/2016 match. It had the most recent clue on the topic: “‘Therese Raquin’ is a tale of murder by this man who some believe was later murdered over his Dreyfus Affair letter.” However, Jeopardy! has had many clues with the letter’s title right in the clue and as a response.

Jeopardy! champs for the week of April 17, 2017

2x champ Deborah Beams returned on Monday but she was defeated by Jamie Newland, who won again on Tuesday. Emmett Robinson won Wednesday’s match and his $17,601 proved to be the highest payday of the week. On Thursday, Nilanka Seneviratne sent Emmett home and, on Friday, David Rigsby came out on top.
