Judging from the lone triple solve, Monday’s clue must have been the easiest, although we thought every clue this week was relatively easy, except for Friday’s. That was a toughie to figure out in 30 seconds unless you had already heard of it, and none of the players had any prior knowledge of that little tidbit.

After surpassing Arthur Chu in both games and money, Matt Jackson came very close to beating Julia Collins in terms of money. But it was not to be and he lost his 14th game on Wednesday to Michael Baker. Michael was defeated by Josh Silverman on Thursday and Josh also won on Friday.

We will be seeing Matt again next month in the TOC. We will be seeing Josh on Monday, and we are sure Alex Trebek will call him Josh.

Here’s is the category, “VWLLSS WRLD CPTLS.” from the Oct. 9 game. They had to name capitals when they were only given the consonants. They all missed Canada’s capital and we’re not sure if Alex Trebek was really astonished or pretending to be offended.
