WHO IS THE GOOD SAMARITAN?

In Luke 10:25-37, Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan as a way of defining the term “neighbor” in “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” The question was posed by a lawyer (an expert in the law of Moses). Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry has a thorough analysis of the parable based upon the cultural norms of the time, with some alternative motives for the priest and Levite who failed to help the injured man. Here’s an odd tidbit: Danbury Mint has a Shirley Temple doll they call “Good Samaritan.” It collects for the Salvation Army.

that was Terry on the first DD and great guess on her part. Sadly, no, I did not get it mainly because in my mind, I confused volume with anthology. Also, I’m not a big fan of Walt Whitman.
