WHAT IS THE BAHAMAS?

Most of the islands of the Caribbean retain the British custom of driving on the left. However, the clue narrows it down to nations, and also wants to know the closest one to the United States. Here is a link to World Standards list of left- & right-driving countries. (Don’t go by the map!)

As the crow flies: Jetpunk.com has a quiz on the 22 nations closest to the USA, “not counting overseas territories of the US or other countries,” though one overseas department got in there.

Jennifer bet $2,002, bringing her up to $11,602.

Cindy bet $8,801, finishing with $19,201.

Sam bet $10,401 so he won the match with $22,001 and that makes him the new Jeopardy! champ. Congrats to Sam on his win.

In the intro, Alex Trebek said that Cindy’s life ambition was to appear on Jeopardy! and win over $100,000, adding “She’s done that.” As we all know, she was battling Stage IV cancer at the time her games taped. It took her life on December 5th before her shows aired. As sad as it is, Cindy was truly a stellar champion, who inspired many. She donated her Jeopardy! winnings to cancer research.

It was appropriate that Alex commented at the close of the show tonight. I was hoping that they (Merv Griffin LLC) might make a donation to The Cancer Society in her name since she won’t be able to participate in ToC. Anyone else feel the same?

Cindy was a stellar champion to win 100k. Congrats. but she will be remembered for her bravery and courage, not to mention her determination. she has inspired us all. Congrats Cindy.

Andy’s hint on Spoiler Talk this morning was right “on the money” LOL!

I will put Cindy on the ToC list to honor her achievement. I have so much admiration for her. I read that she was on painkillers and fighting a blood infection. Yet her determination was so strong, she played each game to win. Jacob gave her a very fitting tribute when he said “what a fighter!”
