Vicki found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “& What Do You ‘Get'” under the $1,000 clue on the 10th pick of the round. She was in second place with $2,400, $200 less than Justin’s lead. She bet $1,000 but had no response so she was WRONG.

Whoopi’s Best Comedy Album Grammy is under 1986 on TotalMusicAwards.com’s list (that goes up to 2012). Her Best Supporting Actress Oscar was for her portrayal of Oda Mae Brown in the 1990 film, “Ghost” that starred Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. Vicki got it right. She added $2,200 to finish with $8,000.

Well, it did look like Justin was going to get a runaway.

I am just mystified at the way the end of the Double Jeopardy! round was played. The 7 clues left after the last DD had these values: 4-$400 clues, 1-$800 and 2-$2K clues. And I really thought they would go for those $2K clues first, but the clues were played in this order: $800, $400, $400, then the $2000 Erie Canal clue (that no one got), then $400, $400. Time ran out and we never saw the $2K Short Stories clue

VJ, it was weird playing & I must agree. Did Tennessee Ernie Ford come to your mind with the 1st round categories? I know Rhonda remembers him too.

I think the cool, calm, & collective playing style of Justin rattled his opponents & they didn’t know what to do to catch him imo. Michael knocked out Justin’s runaway with his DD wager but he still couldn’t catch up. Justin was on cruise control for lack of a better term. It had to be frustrating for his opponents. He has a wide breadth of knowledge in almost every category.

Yes, Jacob. LOL! I sure did think of Tennessee Ernie. We all love that song. I even looked up his birthday to see if that’s what inspired the theme. But it was Feb 13. The original 16 Tons recording was by MerIe Travis and I looked up his birthday. It was Nov 29.

Some or all NBC stations are airing Rockefeller Center’s annual Xmas tree lighting special tonight at 7PM EST(despite NBC Nightly News saying it would air at 8PM EST). Ergo, Wheel and J! will be preempted on NBC stations where it airs between 7-8PM on the East Coast at least. One of WOF or J! will be preempted on NBC stations where they air tomorrow night, as Thursday night Football coverage starts at 7:30PM EST.
