Whew! A lot of folks got engaged in June:

Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco is engaged to marry Charlene Wittstock, a former Olympic swimmer for South Africa. The rich little Mediterranean country has been without a crown princess since the death of Princess Grace (Kelly) in 1982. Prince Albert is the son of Grace Kelly and her Prince, Rainier III (1923-2005). The couple cannot be married for another 6 months, according to royal protocol.

The 52 year old Prince has never been married although that has not prevented him from “sowing his royal oats.” As a matter of fact, he sowed them a couple of times. He has a boy who is now 6 through his relationship with a flight attendant from Togo, and an 18-year-old daughter born to American Tamara Rotolo, a former waitress. However royal the oats may have been, these children have no standing as heirs to the crown of Monaco, but should Prince Albert’s union with the 32 year old Charlene produce any children, that child will be the next Prince or Princess of Monaco.

Still, protocol just ain’t what it used to be. Someone had the nerve to ask the future Princess if she was pregnant, and she replied: “I honestly don’t think so.”

“Jonah Hex” star Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are engaged “again,” although Megan says she considers it not a re-engagement, but just a continuation of the same engagement.

Kellie Pickler of American Idol Season whatever is engaged to marry her songwriter boyfriend, Kyle Jacobs.

Last but not least, Victoria Secret model, Miranda Kerr and actor, Orlando Bloom have finally confirmed their plans to tie the knot.

We probably even forgot a few, it was such a romantic month.
