D’Angelo Russell Takes One for the Team

Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell deflected a pass from Cleveland’s LeBron James in the third quarter of the Lakers-Cavaliers game in Cleveland on February 10th. Unfortunately, he deflected it off his groin:

Just looking at that hurts, for half the population anyway. Russell actually did return to the game later. The incident is a microcosm of the entire season for the Lakers, who lost the game 120-111. With the loss, the Lakers record is 11-44, second worst in the NBA behind the 8-45 Philadelphia 76ers.
