Chris Sale Sails to 12th Win With Victory over Red Sox

The Chicago White Sox have cooled down from their red hot start to the season and are now hovering around the .500 mark. Left hander Chris Sale also cooled down a bit a couple of weeks ago, with two losses surrounding a no decision, but since then he won three straight. The third those victories came at Fenway Park in Boston against the hard hitting Red Sox on June 21st.

Sale allowed one run on four hits, walking one and striking out nine in seven innings pitched in the White Sox 3-1 victory over the Red Sox. Sale improved to 12-2 on the season with a 2.83 ERA, and 102 strikeouts in 15 starts. His 12 wins were the best in the majors through games of June 21, although Clayton Kershaw, Jake Arrieta, and Johnny Cueto are just one victory behind him.
