Charles Barkley Says LeBron Could Be Better Than Michael Jordan

Former NBA player and current pro basketball analyst Charles Barkley is well known for speaking his mind on any subject.

In a taping for the NBA Network’s show Open Court which debuts on October 9th, Barkley opined that the Miami Heat’s LeBron James could be better than Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.  Barkley said that while both players do everything well, LeBron is bigger, stronger, and faster.

During his career in the NBA, Barkley played against Jordan so he knows just how good MJ was.  We won’t fully know how they compare until LeBron’s career is over and all the stats are totaled up, but at age 27, LeBron still has plenty of time to match MJ’s five MVP Awards (LeBron has three).  What may prove much harder is matching the six NBA Championships that Jordan won with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990’s.  But what the heck, both of those guys are pretty darn good, so pick your favorite.
