They say revenge is a dish best served cold. We don’t know how cold it was in Cleveland on March 29th, but it was mighty cold for the Miami Heat and LeBron James. The Cleveland Cavaliers, who have suffered through a horrible season and have the worst record in the NBA, got a measure of revenge on LeBron by beating the Heat 102-90 for just their 15th win of the season against 58 losses. On Miami’s first trip to Cleveland back on December 2nd, the Heat clobbered the Cavaliers 118-90, so that embarrassment has been avenged, too.
This victory was Cleveland’s season highlight, and it was almost a playoff atmosphere in the Quicken Loans Arena. LeBron played well, and had a triple double with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists. But the Cavaliers were pumped up for this one. Four starters scored in double figures, and the Cavalier bench contributed 32 points. Miami’s bench could only come up with six points.
LeBron was gracious in defeat, saying “They came out and played extremely well. It was a good win for them” .
